    • I think it is a question of convenience. One of my balconies is equipped as a drying room. To hang stuff outside, and trees seem a favorite place, would mean taking it outside from the third floor. China’s attitude to balconies is that they are places to dry clothes and store things such as bicycles. They wouldn’t dream of sitting out on a balcony. Different strokes for different folks. 🙂
